This jazz album is the organic outcome of over four years of work with my collaborator Glafkos Kontemeniotis. We would improvise, and explore a song until we became one with each moment of the music. It was from there that the arrangements developed until each piece was complete and whole. I am very fortunate to have some of the best jazz musicians in New York City on this album. With Joel Frahm on Tenor Sax, Ryan Keberle on Trombone, Glafkos on piano, Sean Smith on Bass, and Dave Meade on Drums, each solo is a masterpiece. I am so very delighted to share these words, these melodies and my heart with you. The choice of songs represent specific experiences and relationships in my life with some philosophy that I have gathered along the way. My personal journey has not been an easy one, but with love for ourselves and each other, caring and hope, I believe we can emerge from anything. I hope my story through songs will give you the inspiration to continue and thrive, especially during these trying times. We must have hope. We Must Believe in Spring. Thank you for listening!
